How betternotstop are Working Towards The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

November 29, 2021

We've spoken before about the importance of utilising sustainability for the greater good, and so when we learned about the work currently being done by Nesta, the UK's innovation agency for social good, and their five-part event series titled ‘Making The Switch To Cleaner, Greener Homes’, we wanted to highlight it!

In this new series Nesta are bringing together experts, leaders and practitioners from the energy sector and beyond to explore a host of issues around the decarbonisation of homes and helping you to create green homes and green housing.

These events are for anyone who has a role to play in the transition to net zero, and is interested in diversifying their knowledge, sharing experiences, and being part of an inclusive approach to the challenges of decarbonisation - helping to create green housing and to contribute to a greener planet.

Greener Homes

Two events in the five-part series designed to help you become even greener and to help you have greener homes have taken place so far: Going Green: How Do We Win Public Support For The Transition? and Getting Over Gas: Taking The Hassle Out Of The Switch To Low Carbon Heating. Both of these were a great success and fantastic to learn from, especially if you too want to have a net zero home. Recordings of each can be seen via the links at the end of this post.

The series continues on 14th December with Decarbonisation Déjà Vu: What Can Recent Consumer Behaviour Change Tell Us About Decarbonising Homes?

Following December’s Decarbonisation Déjà Vu event, January will see Stories From The Frontline: Let’s Hear From Our Green Home Pioneers take place and in February the final part of the series, Devolve To Evolve: What Role Should Local Communities Play In Decarbonising Homes? will take place - both helping you to achieve the goal of living in a net zero house.

Full details on each of Nesta's greener homes events can be seen below:
