Here at betternotstop, we want to change how we work and live to create a better world for everyone. Those that have read about our Better Business Network will also know that we strongly believe in the power of working together to achieve this.

In pursuit of this goal, we have come across a wide range of fantastic businesses that share our vision and want to disrupt the workspace landscape, making it better for all – and WorkClub are one of these businesses.

WorkClub’s mission is to enable people to work better and more conveniently. They want people to have complete control over where they work; whether that’s at home, a local hybrid-workspace, the office, or a combination of all three.

Before we delve into exactly what WorkClub do, it’s worth looking at what has happened to the way we work in the last year.

In 2020, nearly 50% of the UK’s workforce worked remotely, nine times more than the amount of the workforce who were doing so before the pandemic. The Coronavirus did overnight what could otherwise have taken years to happen; it changed the working habits of the nation and saw millions of people working remotely.

Prior to that first lockdown, many businesses had assumed that employees wouldn’t work as hard, or wouldn’t stay focussed on their roles if they could just as easily sit and watch Netflix at home. But within just a few weeks of this forced working from home, it became clear that employees could not only remain focussed, but also productive (and in some cases increase their productivity)

So now, just over a year since millions of people from the UK’s workforce were freed from the constraints of the office, why would anyone (employees or employers) want to return to the traditional 9-5 routines of the past?

Which brings us back to WorkClub.

WorkClub (to really simplify it) is an app; an app that makes it easy for people to work from anywhere they choose, be that in advance or at a moment’s notice. Members are able to activate idle space across a range of commercial venues working in partnership with WorkClub – from hotels to workspaces and much more.

The benefits, in WorkClub’s own words, are as follows:

  • Skip the commute saving time, money, and the environment. WorkClub plans to bring a workspace within 15 mins of everyone.
  • Empower your team with the choice to work flexibly. It’s one of the best ways to attract and retain great talent.
  • Pay only for what you use, making this an ideal solution to downsize or ditch an expensive office lease.

As far as we’re concerned, this is a company well-positioned to support the future of work – and now WorkClub has opened up to a new round of investment as they look to expand their offering further.

Currently, WorkClub has over 1,500 users and over 180 locations – numbers which look set to continue rising, especially when you check their social media followings! They’ve partnered with established brands such as Mindspace, Work.Life, FIVERR, Zipcar and more. Plus, they have a scalable business model, with low overheads and strong network effects.

WorkClub are looking to raise £300,000 investment via Crowdcube. At the time of writing, they’re very close to hitting their target but there’s still time to invest in this exciting business looking to reinvent the way the world works.

The WorkClub website has further information about the company itself, and details on the investment opportunity can be found via Crowdcube.
